Telephone Banking

Through Tele-Select banking, you can check your account balances, follow account activity, transfer funds between accounts, and make loan and bill payments, at any time. This service is available free of charge to all OPPA Credit Union members.

To Get Set Up

Contact your Financial Advisor to set up your personal access code. This is the code you will use for all calls you make to Tele-Select. Remember that your access code is confidential and private and must not be released to anyone.

To Use Tele-Select Banking

  • Dial 1-800-385-9236 (or 705-726-3197).
  • Choose the organization OPPA Credit Union (select #1).  Next you must select the branch OPPA Credit Union (select # 01).
  • Enter your account number.
  • Enter your four-digit personal access code.
  • Choose the type of service you are requesting:
    • Balance and Account Details
      • Account Balance
      • Transaction History
      • Search for a specific transaction
    • Transfer of Funds
    • Bill Payment
  • You will be asked to choose an account type. Here are the codes for each account type:
    • Total Chequing - 01
    • Maximizer - 02
    • Basic Chequing - 03
    • Current Chequing - 04
    • Merit Line - 05
    • High Yield Savings - 06
    • Plan24 Savings - 07
    • Canada Life Ins - 08
    • Bonus Savings - 09
    • CUIS Ins - 10
    • Fat Cat Savings - 11
    • Inclusive Chequing - 12
    • Optimum Savings - 13
    • Loan - 20
    • High Interest Tax Free Savings Account - 21
    • US Savings Account - 24  
  • If you have more than one of an account type, the system will ask you to enter the sub-number of your account, followed by the pound (#) key. Please refer to your statement for this information.
  • Follow the prompts to obtain the information you require.
