Switching your chequing or savings
account to the OPPA Credit Union is probably simpler
than you think. With our easy-to-use Switch Form, you
can notify automatic billers and regular depositors
of your new account number and when you want the switch
to take effect.
Here’s how it works:
- Contact your Member
Service Advisor to open your OPPA Credit Union
account. Your advisor will also guide you through
the switching process.
- Use the Switch Form checklist
to ensure you have enough money in your existing account
to cover any remaining payments.
- Complete the Switch Form and then
fax or mail it, along with a voided OPPA Credit Union
cheque from your new account, to each of the companies
debiting your account or making automatic deposits.
If you prefer, we’ll send the form for you.
- Your advisor can also arrange
to transfer your remaining account balance to your
OPPA Credit Union account. Just remember to leave
enough money in your account to cover pre-authorized
transactions for the next 4 to 6 weeks.
