If your child is entering the first year of post-secondary education at an eligible institution, he or she can enter a draw to win a $1,000.00 scholarship award from OPPA Credit Union.
The scholarship will be awarded by a random draw and is NOT based on a cumulative GPA or community involvement. The draw is made on October 1st each year (or the first business day following this date).
If your child is under six years of age and you are a member of the Credit Union, you are eligible to receive $100.00 to be deposited into an OPPA Credit Union RESP account for your child.
If you are planning to retire in the next six month and you are a member of the OPP (civilian or uniform), you are eligible to enter a draw to win a $2,000.00 retirement award from OPPA Credit Union.
